Pretty sure the club is planning an announcement of several signings alongside the new manager. So far they havent mentioned anything officially. Lots of negativity surrounding players being bought without a manager in place by the usual culprits. The way things are going, it will be an exciting announcement from the club of a new manager and additional signings. Pellegrini, Navas, Fernandinho and maybe just maybe Cavani??? Exciting times already!

Am i wrong, i thought players signings could not be completed until July1st, i just think we will all have to wait a while yet to see the players unveiled , although we will know they are done deals

can sign players any time but can only register them for the league from the first of July

If we are playing 433 in the same shape as Barca I don't think there is a natural position for either of them. I think Milner will be kept as a utility man, but unfortunately I think Barry will move on, and I'm gutted because I really rate him.

I honestly think Gaz Baz will stay - good player, English, good influence, potential future coaching staff member - would still get game time, just not as much (I think anyway) - can see him playing the league games before and after a CL game, but not the CL game

I agree, great player and I'd love him to stay. With no contract extension being offered already though, I'm fearing the worst for him.

In the same way Navas is de facto a City player. Shakhtar will probably say he's been sold on their website.

I heard somewhere that they were going to offer him a 3 year contract with the final year in the US as part of New York City?? Good role model/professional and all that??

Sounds a bit unlikely, only gives him two years at City which is really very little we have just extended Yaya's contract and he is older.
I believe that MLS contracts are centrally held which makes it less plausible.

According to prem rules the transfer window opened on the day the last game in prem finished so we can sign them up, not sure though how that impacts with UEFA registration which might still be 1st July. But whether they can be registered to play with us and sign for us are two different animals. The registration bit relates to competitive matches and we know there aren't any for City until July ish.

Goal reckons we're paying £25million + £5million extra in future incentives, £100,000/week wages. That's a huge outlay but it's hard to care since we're genuinely improving the squad.
