Fernandinho is set to be announced as a Manchester City player soon. Transfer fee around 25m euros

none of these fuckers know - they just read the top rumours and then keep speculating, and eventually they get one right, but they know fuck all apart from what they read in the papers, or forums like this
you need to relax and stop thinking the sky is falling. He's a free lance journalist and is passing along whats been written by someone else and Train merely put it on here. Deep breaths. Relax.

that is not me thinking the sky is falling, it is my view of how these rumours work - the reality is that we may well be buying Fernandinho, there have been enough legitimate stories about it, so it may well happen

is this guy rafael hernandez reliable?
Don't think it matters as he didn't take credit. Simply reposted the info and named the paper source. I think he's mostly interested as a fan of the Brazilian national team wanting Fernandinho to get more of a look. Seems to figure he'll get more chances at the national team if he's at City.

Facking hate The Times pay wall, the preview cutting off at "But with Shakhtar agreeing deals in principle to sign Fernando and Wellington Nem, the Brazil midfielders, from Grêmio and Fluminense respectively, City are thought to be..."

Manchester City are likely to intensify their efforts to sign Fernandinho, the Brazil midfielder, from Shakhtar Donetsk after the Ukrainian champions agreed deals for two of his international team-mates yesterday.

Shakhtar’s insistence that suitors meet the £40.5 million release clause stipulated in Fernandinho’s contract has so far thwarted City’s attempts to lure the 28-year-old despite the player’s pleas for Shakhtar to lower their demands and allow him to join the Barclays Premier League club.

But with Shakhtar agreeing deals in principle to sign Fernando and Wellington Nem, the Brazil midfielders, from Grêmio and Fluminense respectively, City are thought to be hopeful that there may be room for negotiation.

City are reluctant to offer more than £20 million for Fernandinho, who is a defensive midfielder but with the sort of pace and powerful shot that make him an asset going forward.

Shakhtar’s deals in principle for the Brazilians could also offer Liverpool grounds for encouragement in their attempts to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Ukranian club’s £22 million-rated Armenia attacking midfielder.

One player already on his way to City is Jesús Navas, the Spain winger who will complete a projected £21.6 million move from Seville once he has undergone a medical. Navas has suffered from homesickness in the past, prompting him to turn down Chelsea in 2006.

Thanks Falastur. Also on the back page of tomorrow's Telegraph:

So pretty much a rehash of everything that's been thought said here today after the word got round of their 2 new signings
