No I don't. Because it didn't actually happen.

Err, yes it did, especially in the Ukraine game. Shakhtar were better in both games (despite Moses' jammy last minute winner at the Bridge) and Fernandinho was breaking up play freely and driving forward. He was outstanding.

Have a look at his stats in both games if you don't want to actually watch them. He was more of a Yaya in both games, getting forward but also contributing defensively because he's an all-round midfielder who can tackle and attack... unlike De Jong and Barry who were both good, but less versatile midfielders.

You're coming across as an egomaniac, because unlike another poster in this thread you refuse to admit you might be wrong about someone and seem desperate... DESPERATE for him to fail so your ego can be appeased. Sad.

I'd be happy to to take issue with you regarding the relative merits of Fernandinho as a player, including his performances against Chelsea in the CL. I would remind you again that I have not said anywhere that he is a poor player.

However, since you personalise the debate and accuse,if not insult me, for no reason, I won't bother.

If you take that as an insult, you really are soft.

Even after an excellent performance today, you can't simply praise him because you've set your stall out now.

A classic case of prematurely judging a player then when he turns out to be good, sticking to it even when everyone else acknowledges how important he is becoming. At least you aren't blightee who outright called him a terrible footballer somewhere earlier in this thread. He is conspicuous by his absence.

Aguero scoring two goals makes him an obvious winner of motm, but Fernandinho also had a very good game and deserves credit and praise for a performance such as that.
