was excellent today, especailly being up against his fellow countryman Ramirez, who I rate very highy.
He's also growing in confidence. Now making the odd break and looks a real asset.

Quality again against an excellent Chelsea midfield. I think him and Yaya switched for a bit second half when we got back into it and we looked much better for it, want to see him given more of a license to make those ramires-esque leggy drives forward. Only criticism is he did play a few too many long balls that were easily cut out but he at least tried to mix it up and gave their defence something to think about with the ball behind, even came off once when Silva was through. getting to a point now where you know you can rely on him to be at worst good. He just doesn't give up.

Just got back and this was the first thread i've jumped on, he deserves all the praise today, he was outstanding and didn't deserve to be on the losing side.

Felt sorry for the lad with all the hard work he put in and got nothing for it.

Good performance today but I really feel his strength limits him in the role he plays for our side. He seems to be easily out-muscled off the ball. Technically however, he is very good. I just hope he slightly bulks up which would help him tremendously in the DM role he plays for us.

Out of all the doom and gloom of losing the game, the performance of this man was a shining light.

It was an outstanding contribution. His tenacity, speed of thought and general play and his huge engine, which allows him to keep going for 90 minutes, was a revelation to behold.

He is indeed an exceptional player and it will be Brazil's loss if they don't pick him for the World Cup.

If Javi Garcia had actually turned out to be worth the 16 million we paid for him, we'd have such a boss midfield.

Turning out to be a decent player had a few bad games earlier in the season think it took him a few to get used to the prem. starting to look like he's worth the money especially since the west ham game. However navas needs to stop trying so hard and coming inside constantly. He needs to do what he does best stay on the wing and be patient and then take players on down the right when he gets the ball and put a good cross into the box because he doesn't do much at all when he comes inside. He's a top player but needs to stick to what he does best
