Fernandinho

His energy is so important to the side. Thought he was excellenr v Spurs, and has been one of our most consistent performers for a while.
He's been a sub recently which is hard to understand

I think Yaya and Fernando hold him back a bit because he has to do most of the defending.

Yaya because he moves up the pitch and tries to attack. Nando because well he's Nando and not consistent with his performances.

Pleased to see that he made the Brazil squad for the Copa America. I felt really bad for him last world cup as I know he really cares about playing for Brazil. Hopefully he can have a good tournament and not come back on a hangover like last summer.

Been poorly treated this season by MP. Our best midfielder by some distance and the fact he has been dropped numerous times this season is ridiculous.

This.

It worries me the amount of time he has spent on the bench this season. Yes he started the season off shakey but he should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Constantly doing the work of two men in midfield, I hope with reinforcements in the summer in the midfield department we can see him really shine for us.

He's been class for us since he arrived but he has so much more to offer the team, he's just being held back by tactical blunders and lazy team mates.

I'm not would have preferred he had the summer off! We could be 3 key players down at the start of the season where a fast start is going to be essential

I'm just happy for him since his main motivation for moving to this club was to play for Brazil. You're right in that it probably will be worse for us considering he will have no preseason. I'm actually a bit worried that he will start the season with a Copa America hangover.

As I understand it Pellegrini wants to play a high intensity, pressure game win the ball back quickly.... So why the f*ck has this guy been left on the bench recently?.... He's probably our most tenacious, hard working player and he is a quality player too. Yaya plays regardless of his half-hearted efforts sometimes and he leads the team out (a disgrace given his conduct)....

Pellegrini needs to get the boot I think he's deranged and sending the wrong message to the squad and players like Milner & Fernandinho who run themselves into the ground for the team ... No wonder Milner doesn't want to stay.....

We can't build the right culture at the club if the likes of Toure and Nasri stay, neither are willing to roll their sleeves up or are up for a fight and both are prima donnas...

Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Fernandinho, Silva and Aguero are the players that should always be in our best 11. Even in the Derby I thought Fernandinho played well then he gets dropped again. We need 5 class players to supplement the above IMO.

Prior to YaYa going to the African Nations Cup the run of results in league games when both Dinho and Yaya started was not superb it was sensational. From November 2013 through to January 2015 they both started in the same league game 27 times and the record was Won 22 Drawn 4 Lost 1.

The run was extended upon Yaya's return in the easy win at home against Newcastle and taking the sequence to W23 D4 L1. That is 2.60+ points per game and projected over a full season is an incredible 99 points.

Since then they have started together only in 4 away games - Liverpool, Palace, Burnley & United - the 4 defeats that fucked up the league season.

For me there is only 1 man to blame. And is not Fernandinho.
