We DO NOT need Torres! He is the new RSC!!

He is now injury prone in the way that Owen and Fowler became-carrying the Scousers every week has totally fucked him up physically the way it fucked them.
He's never got over the injuries he recieved last season...just doesn't look the same player mentally or physically.
No matter how skillful,it means jack if you're sat in the treatment room every week. He'll miss most of pre season now with that hamstring injury, and would spend the best part of the first third of the new season getting fit and his touch back.

We should not touch him with a barge pole!!!

Fernando Torres about Liverpool: "This is my team, my city and Anfield is my pitch."

"I really feel at home here. From the first day I came right up until today I have felt that Anfield is my home. I feel like I am from Liverpool."

"For me, Anfield is the best place in England."

Did he have a Stanley pushed up against his throat when he said that?

Dont worry about it lar, when he goes, you lot can have yet another day of mourning!

Time to Rob his house maybe before he leaves? Not that it has ever stopped your lot before eh?

Lol my mates mate lives next to him in Woolton, ha. il show us the way.

what like silva did?

cheers.

Silva is better than Messi isn't he.

He's so so good that he couldn't get into Spain's team in the World Cup. If he was that good shouldn't he feature instead of Pedro and Navas?

I know he's a good player, an intelligent midfielder, but I don't think he's top class (top class midfielders for me are Xavi, Iniesta, Gerrard, Fàbregas, Lampard, someone who can decide a game on his own).

I'm not sure I'd class Silva as World Class either, but I'd rather have him in my side than Lucas, or Babel, or Kuyt, or Aquilani, etc etc etc.

-- Mon Jul 12, 2010 9:49 am --

Enjoy being a skint mid-table club.

Enjoy waiting 300 years 'till your club gets 5 European Cups and 16 League Titles.

Ah, the tried and tested response of a fan who knows his club has no future so harks back to the past. How many of those 21 trophies have you won in the last, oh, 2 decades? One. How many will you win in the next 2 decades, well judging by your ever so impressive owners I'll go out on a limb here and say substantially less than we do. By all means live on the glories of the 1970's and 80's, I'll be enjoying the victories to come.
