It was all talk about Villa. Was there anything ever agreed with Valencia? No because they weren't for selling at the time. Villa was always Barca bound imo, comparing Villa to Torres is abit daft anyway as Torres is already here.

if torres decides to leave liverpool there be about 5/6 top clubs willing to sign him that can offer him more than city at the moment.

if city bid x amount and another club offer a smaller amount but liverpool find it reasonable it be up to torres to decide

There aren't 5/6 top clubs who can afford him. Liverpool will go for the highest price. Barca don't have 60mill for him and neither do Chelsea. We are the only club who can afford him. You seem to be missing the fact that HIS ADVISORS ARE AT OUR TABLE! He IS interested in what we have to offer. Tevez has made no secret of moving back to Argentina to finish his career yet Nando has said in no uncertain terms he wants to stay. I for one hope he signs so all the blues who BELIEVE can ram it down your throat. Mind you if we did pull Torres off you would still find something to moan about, its in your nature

Torres is seeing everything crumble around him whilst City sign WorldClass players, he isn't on great money and we could double it easy. He loves the Premier League and wants to stay in England as in his words "it is the best in the world and spain doesn't compare". He won't win anything if he stays at Anfield and has a better chance here. If there was no chance of Torres signing, his advisors wouldn't be at our table. He advised Silva to come and reaaly talked the club up.

That is why we can bring Torres to City, stop being so little minded or if your a rag piss off!

I would be very surprised if Torres is at Liverpool by September, so where could he go?

Real? Doubt it, he's an Athletico boy. It would be like Alan Smith going to the rags.
Barca? Possibly aand I'm sure he'd jump at the chance. However, I'm not sure he'd fit in with the players they already have. Money wise, they just sell ibra probably to us to pay for him.

Inter? Eto'o or Milito would probably have to go. Does he like Benitez? Did to begin with, but they didn't seem on best of terms last season.

Chelsea? Definite possibility, but can't see him playing with Drogba, as too similar. If Drogba goes to Real...

City? The only other one who could afford him, offer a chance of winning things and CL football in a year. Wouldn't have to move if settled in NW. He was also saying good things to Silva about us, so why would he think we're below him?

I think it's between us and Barca, and it depends if Barca want him. Their new president hasn't shown his hand yet and it depends how much power Pep has, as he may not want him for the system, but the president might for the kudos.

Until he signs for someone else, there's a chance.

Look, we can't force everyone to change, but 'typical city' is gone, in the club, gone in the transfer market and gone on the pitch. If people don't want to see that our club is just about as exciting as it will ever get then fine.

I can see it's exciting at our club and our transfer targets including Torres who Silva had a word with can see it's exciting at our club. whoever plays for us when we win something will go down in history. Along with bell lee and summerbee, they will be remembered forever.

And they will never buy a drink in this city again.

The best players will want to stand next to Carlos when that happens.
