Torres is a fascinating one for me as I'm seeing it as a bit of a test case.

He comes to City and I will be inclined to take the word of our ITK's over the World's press.

If he goes to Chelsea it will be the other way around.

The bookies seem to think Chelsea but there are lots of hints they could be wrong.

Not long before we all know and even if he goes to Chelsea perhaps our ITKs will be free to discuss how close (or not) we came.

Even though Chelsea are being really, really strongly linked with Torres, I really can't see us pulling it off. I don't really want us to either. Fantastic player but for £48 Million? We've just shaken off our tag of simply buying out success, and with the self sustainability rules coming in (and the fact if we continue with restraint we should break even by 2012), I just don't think he is really needed. I'd much rather invest in the future- Neymar, Ramires, Luiz and hopefully Aguero next season.

The info I was given as well told me both clubs had pulled out of the race and that he was staying at Liverpool. Don't know how true that is, though.

Still, the reaction from the scousers if he came to London would be hilarious.

Just read Paul Hince's excellent article in the M.E.N and he has a feeling that Torres will join us.

maybe liverpool want's to sell to the highest bidder but the question is what torres want.
chelsea & cl football or city & money but no cl football?

i know city have a good squad right now but that doesn't gurantee a top 4 spot. arsenal, liverpool and tottenham is also good and i'm sure they will cause chelsea and united problems. just look at madrid. top players and how many things did they win last season?
