Fernando Torres

City can offer all the money we want, its not going to change the fact he has already knocked us back in previous attempts to sign him.

Torres isnt interested in a move to City, and never has been.

Circumstances have changed.

Can't see us bidding for him, he wouldn't fit into our system with everyone's fit, there's no need to sign him.

Yes we took no and signed someone else, but Torres thinks we are not of the required calibre for his services. Like it or not thats what he thinks, so it be shooting yourself in the foot bidding for him.

Imagine the media with that story, City offer more than Chelsea, Torres rejects the offer.

at the min we have 4 forwards dzeko(new still settleing in) tevez(at prescent injured) balo(also injured and still not settled) and jo like playing with 10 men when he playes how can we not have a reason to buy a natural goal scorer like torres

silva alone is enough reason why he would want to sign not to mention we are still in a good position for europa league, champs league place, fa cup and maybe even the prem not to menion that he said he wanted to play with tevez a couple of seasons ago, and we have never had an offer accepted for him to turn us down he has just made statements loyal to liverpool but now his feelings have changed.

According to the Sunday Express Torres' advisors floated the idea of him being offered to us, City apparently replied with a solid 'No'. Check their website and see Sunday's main story sports about his move.

Ian Ladtman has just tweeted

Notion of Torres becoming recently unsettled is false. Told #mcfc 18months ago he was interested in offers.Clearly saw #LFC demise coming.

Seems City are really not interested which I find strange but we've gotta trust our guys know what they are doing (I hope)

I would love him here but I dont see it happening. I would see him playing extremely well in a front 3 with Tevez and Dzeko. Dzeko in the middle and Torres and Tevez off, Silva in behind and a solid midfield 2 (De Jong and Yaya). Balo concerns me, he is young and this knee injury hopefully isnt too bad but to have a forward line of those 5 and we rotate with 4 of them would be incredible.

Slightly gutted we aint going out for him... with the right players around him he can be deadly, simply lacking confidence at the moment and no surprise with what Liverpool are going through. Alot of players been going out the club over the years and been replaced with a shower of shit. The only key player they have left is Gerrard.

Id presume Liverpool would want a replacement in this window and thats what is holding up any deal.

However the players would be chosen by who? Dalgleish? Who is on a short term ccontract.

Any new manager at the end of the season will want money to spend. But if they spend £30m in this window they wont have much to give a new manager.

In other words Liverpool dont benefit from this transfer in my book
