Watxhing him now, a NDJ clone.
Loves a tackle. Quicker, stronger and probably a bit sharper on the ball than Nige though
He's not quicker.
He's not quick, but most people are quicker than De Jong. He certainly looks to cover ground a lot easier and he runs a lot more powerfully

My only reservation is his lack of pace. You don't want someone who is quick but can't read the game, but equally at the top level we have all seen what top players will do to slow opposition. Gareth Barry, Nigel De Jong, Garcia - they are all lacking pace at the top level. If they are specifically required to sit and hold that is fine, but if they are needed to contribute in general play, as Fernandinho does, they need the pace to recover. Carvalho looks more raw but has the attributes to be much better than Fernando in a couple of years.

More Fernandinho than Dejong looking at the above clips.....also how many people confuse pace and acceleration, the one thing this lad has is pace due to his stride, he may not be to quick off the mark like a Lennon or a Walcott but once in his stride the lad can motor add to that a great physique and technical attributes and you have a decent player
