If we were to line up all our fit players tomorrow:

Hart

Zabs
VK
Mangala
Kolarov

Fernando
Fernandinho
Yaya

Silva
Navas
Negredo

? I'm kind of confused as to what were doing here.

Think we will continue with 2 midfielders, just now Fernandinho and Yaya don't have to play every single game. Yaya especially needs some time off.

Having Nasri, Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic, Milner, Rodwell and more at our disposal seems great in theory. But if this is a player that demands playing time we could have a problem.

But he isnt a replacement for any of those players with the exception of rodwell.

You can play around with first eleven formations all you want but Pelli spelt it out last summer two players for every position. In addition he wants every player to be comfortable on the ball and play it from the back to front quickly.

Draft / Provisional squad for next season

Hart
Pants

Zab
Richards

Kompany
Mangala

Nasty
Demichelis

Kolorov
Clichy

Yaya
Fernadhino

Fernando
Rodwell

Navas
Milner

Silva
Nasri

Dzeko
Negredo

Jovetic
Aguero

Means Lescott Barry and Garcia out the door, probably Sinclair on loan again somewhere.

If Richards won't sign a new contract maybe we will need a new right back, if Dzeko leaves we will replce with another striker. If we decide to lose a left back then obviously they will need replacing.

Think our CM's next year will be Yaya, Fernandinho, Fernando, Zuculini. Think Garcia and Rodwell will probably be gone.

Yaya Toure will presumably be away for much of January and some of February 2015, at the ACON, so he would be guaranteed game time then as well
Not so sure. Lot's of rumors that he will retire internationally after the World Cup.
in any case ACON is now held in our summer

Has that been confirmed? I remember it being mooted, but the dates on the sites I checked still indicate Jan 17-Feb 7.

I am pretty certain the reason for having ACON two years on the spin was to align them with South American thingy and Euros so they all take place together at the same time.

Reckon Rodwell will out on loan if we get Fernando tomorrow.

Think it'd just be a straight sale if we got anything about 6 mil to be honest. It was a pointless buy.

edit: in the summer, of course

This

Hart
Zabaleta
Kompany/Mangala/Nastasic
Kolarov/Clichy
Yaya/Fernandinho/Fernando
Navas/Nasri/Silva
Negredo/Dzeko/Negredo/Dzeko

(This would suggest we need RB cover)
