I'm glad you managed to include an extract from Thessalonians. A criminally overlooked part of the Bible.
Didn't we play them in the Europa League a few seasons ago?
I seem to recall we needed a miracle to get through to the next round.
Indeed. I didn't think we had a prayer when the draw was made.

It was a bit of a David and Goliath fixture iirc.

But the discussions in this thread this morning, and I use the term discussion very loosely, was nothing more than a series of conspiracy theories about how Mancini was terribly hard done by by Txiki and Ferran...........It's hard not to sneer at stupidity like that, not least because of the enormous disservice it does our owners.
As a consistent enthusiast for the Sheikh and the blessed Khaldoon I find this rebuke a stark contrast to the Cabal's three year campaign against our owner's previous choice of manager - and not all their vilification was reserved for Mancini either - witness this charming little thread started by one of their own at the start of the project

I feel really confident that we will be in the champions league next year. However, some comments on Talksport earlier have brought me down to earth a bit. Mike Parry made the point that there are no "good" owners in the premier league any more and he's right if I'm brutally honest. Ok, so our guy has a few quid. And his Chairman seems pretty hands-on to a point. But when was the last time you saw one of them wearing a City shirt?
It's fun to have a rummage in the post histories of these tubthumpers!

Yeah, George. I was absolutely deadly serious with that thread. It wasn't at all a parody of mike Ashley and that Arab clown who wore a Pompey shirt to the first game, both of whom were in the news at the time. Not at all. I was totally serious in that thread. I wasn't poking fun at the journalistic collossus by name of mike parry. I was genuinely disillusioned at the guys who had pumped half a billion into my football club.

You've got me bang to rights on that one old chap.

I think George may have gone to get his user name changed.

He's not as comfortable with crosses as I expected.

At least we're nailed on for the knockout stage
If we get through, that could be quite a thorny issue.
And we might face an exodus to Eastern Europe or maybe we'll get Galatasaray. Their ground is on the road to Damascus.
