Lost faith in these clowns when we signed demi for 4.2m when he was available for a free a few week earlier. Complete clowns.

The club was pursuing Pepe when Demichelis moved on a free (close to 2 months before Demichelis joined City, so not 'a few weeks'), when Real Madrid refused to sell Pepe (largely because of Varane's injury), they turned to Demichelis with time running out.

Unfortunately, these "clowns" (one of whom is doing a remarkable job as CEO) are not in possession of a time machine.

It doesn't change the fact that they paid millions for an ageing slow coach who was available on a free transfer only weeks before though does it?

No, it doesn't, but context is necessary since we were pursuing our main target when Demichelis joined Atletico Madrid. City's chiefs, who you lot are so determined to demonize (in many cases, without even really understanding their roles - such as the person who actually thought Txiki picks the team), were not chasing Demichelis when he was available for free... hence, they had to spend money to get him once it was clear Pepe wouldn't be sold. It was right before the deadline and he was clearly the easiest of those on the post-Pepe shortlist to acquire. And, really, he's not a bad player at all and is settling in OK... but being Pellegrini's "boy", is no doubt in for as much obscene treatment on here as the manager himself.

Has Demichelis had obscene treatment? Haven't seen it if he has.

No, not much yet... but give them time. It took them a while to turn against Soriano and Txiki (who are both doing good jobs contrary to all this bollox these people are coming out with - god forbid we go a few months without a new scapegoat or three), and of course "Clueless Manager" Pellegrini.

Plenty of players get 'obscene' treatment unfortunately. Maicon, Kolarov, Garcia, Nasri, Dzeko have had loads of shit directed at them. It doesn't automatically follow that it's down to the manager who signed them. I don't think anyone's sacred. Yaya still gets called lazy constantly, Aguero's not clinical enough, Kompany's crocked etc.

All of which has been deserved at times, if things go well they get praise.

Hopefully they'll enjoy the Christmas Markets which start on Friday.

Don't get them in Barcelona. And if you do, they won't be as good as ours. :-)

City's running Christmas Markets since..........

I think they were too hasty to get rid of Mancini, I also blame them for treating the F.A. Cup final as collateral damage ! Added to that I think some of their purchases are totally off the wall ! I would also say that I do not want to be landed with a 31 year old Barcelona cast off in goal just because they don't know enough about this league to realise that Joe could have a whole great career with us at MC. finally I would say - I would love to have people in these positions who thought about Manchester City and where we are going now ! Not about Barcelona and where they have already been ! We ARE and always have been Manchester City in the English league. Following a Barcelona blueprint will spell nothing but disaster. Believe me, if they were so marvellous Barcelona would not have let them go !

That's a very lazy argument LoveCity and also one from someone with entrenched views on the subject matter.
No City player will get any stick from anyone on here or on the terraces if they perform regardless of who he is, where he is from or who purchased him.
I do agree that we City fans do like to have a resident 'boo boy' but as you know that is nothing new by any stretch of the imagination.
If a player does the business on the pitch whilst wearing a blue shirt he will be a hero and rightly so regardless of his provenance.
