TB only has one quality signing Fernandinho, though Mangala may come good. Navas looked good but has deteriorated badly this season. The rest are squad fillers with the exception of Fernando who is just awful - no worse than awful - truly appalling.

Thank God TB wasn't able to get Fernando and Mangala as last winter's window closed. We'd have lost the Premier League and Possibly the League Cup as well.

Fernandinho was good last season. Not this. Average signing for a lot of cash.

I keep reading that Mangala will come good but frankly none of us know that.

We also don't know that Dinho might come good again will that make him a good signing again

Could it be that behind the curtains they are still loyal to their former club ?
I just can't trust them to put City on the right rails to finally join the european elite top 3, and thus, threatening Barcelona.
Maybe i have watched too many spy & conspiracies movies.

You mean like Soriano going back to stand as Barca president one day

The thought had more than crossed my mind

Absolutely mate.
I would not trust them to take any critic measures that would benefit City in the long run, they have catalan blood in their vein.

Really?? Fernandinho a good signing.? He cost £35 million and has far too many limitations to his game to justify anything like that price tag.

When you compare him to the likes of Matic who cost £21 million and is twice the player then I'm sorry but Fernandhino joins the long list of recent bad buys.

Maybe he will but I don't think you can argue he hasn't looked like a £32m player this season and neither has Mangala.

Not only that but we would have probably paid more for them as well

I have the feeling their energy was not 100% on City. New York, Japan, Melbourne etc. They had to travel to these places, observe and check the work being done, maybe they do it regularly who knows.

Building a world wide City brand must not be easy. Is it 100% sure the success of Man City is the most important driving power of the brand?

If anyone watches these sister teams, do they play the same way than us? Leave huge gaps in midfield, 442 etc? Or more like the tiki-taka Barca 433 is actually the City brand of football? What everybody plays across age groups instead (the main team in the brand) Man City?

We send coaches all over the world to teach youngers play the City way. Can someone describe that style? Is Pellegrini knows about that or the first team is an exception of this?

I mean NYCFC coach was over here last year to learn from Vieira, Pellegrini and see what style is being asked to play or something.

Soriano had these plans already at Barca to create a brand of overseas clubs seems like at Barca they didnt want it or didnt have the financial for it, here he found it and thought the same tiki-taka Barca style is the City brand.

Which doesnt always resembles our first team play tho.

This all is a bit messy to me, but its very early to judge the whole thing.

For this reason anyone saying Soriano, Txiki could be fired anytime soon, well I think they bought themselves in for years with this City brand thing all over the world. Even if City first team not as succesful as we would like it. Txiki and Soriano's job is a bit more now then if they would be CEO and DoF of Barca.

We are ever enticing new sponsors and new deals, we are gaining new fans all the time, developments off the pitch are getting to another level. Off the pitch we really are moving forward as a club. I'd say Soriano is already doing a great job.

This Summer is huge for Begiristain. For me we are worse to watch, worse at defending and all round worse on the pitch than we were before he came to us. I thought we were a decent defensive unit who kept the ball well and scored really good goals and were a team that just needed to push on a bit in signings and ruthlessness to get to that next level about three years ago. Right now i'm seeing that we're no better than we were then and a full product - despite spending around £230m in that time - we have gone to pot defensively and are not a unit whatsoever although we do keep the ball and score some really good goals still.
This Summer is arguably the most important since the takeover. Cos sure as fuck fire United will spend big and start to become a challenge for the title next season or the one after, Arsenal have started spending money and i can honestly see Wenger stepping down soon which opens the door for Guardiola as i think they're ideal for each other...for us, this Summer is huge. We might find oursleves being a side running in for fourth place in the coming years, rather than going for the title.
