I have the feeling their energy was not 100% on City. New York, Japan, Melbourne etc. They had to travel to these places, observe and check the work being done, maybe they do it regularly who knows.
Building a world wide City brand must not be easy. Is it 100% sure the success of Man City is the most important driving power of the brand?
If anyone watches these sister teams, do they play the same way than us? Leave huge gaps in midfield, 442 etc? Or more like the tiki-taka Barca 433 is actually the City brand of football? What everybody plays across age groups instead (the main team in the brand) Man City?
We send coaches all over the world to teach youngers play the City way. Can someone describe that style? Is Pellegrini knows about that or the first team is an exception of this?
I mean NYCFC coach was over here last year to learn from Vieira, Pellegrini and see what style is being asked to play or something.
Soriano had these plans already at Barca to create a brand of overseas clubs seems like at Barca they didnt want it or didnt have the financial for it, here he found it and thought the same tiki-taka Barca style is the City brand.
Which doesnt always resembles our first team play tho.
This all is a bit messy to me, but its very early to judge the whole thing.
For this reason anyone saying Soriano, Txiki could be fired anytime soon, well I think they bought themselves in for years with this City brand thing all over the world. Even if City first team not as succesful as we would like it. Txiki and Soriano's job is a bit more now then if they would be CEO and DoF of Barca.
