Is there any way back for Cook?

For all his faults and gaffs, boy do we miss him. Comparing who he brought to the club to what the present incumbent has treated us to and it makes you wonder what might have been.

You really believe that Cook has more pulling power than Txiki?

His job was made 1000% easier than Txiki because he could spend what he wanted and importantly what was needed to get Toure, Silva and so on.

To answer the question though, after his PR disaster. I don't see him ever working for City in any kind of position.

Txikis transfer dealing have been a huge disappointment so far. Yes he may have been constrained by FFP but he hasn't made best use of what funding he had.

I would think not. The e-mail did for him; he's moved on and so have we.

The era of really big spending before FFP won't be repeated even if restrictions are lifted, or it is thrown out in court,
until our turnover allows it to happen. In this respect Sorriano is doing a good job.

I liked Cook. In a similar way to Mancini he was the right man at the right time but that time has passed.

What would make anyone think he wants to come back? He's doing well now by all accounts and probably with a lot less stress. To compare like for like though I think at the very least we're no worse off with Soriano in the CEO role.

Assuming we get into Chumps League next season he has to produce the goods over the summer.

We need 4 first team starters at least in my opinion that will improve us domestically and in Europe with the ability to prevent the results of Boro. Newcastle, Stoke, Burnley , Arsenal, Hull, Everton etc from happening again.

We won't win every game but next year will have to be more ruthless home and away for the board to think we have the right people in charge of recruitment and player development.

Not to mention Barcelona eh ? Mind you a win and a draw against Everton is a complete disaster, as is beating Newcastle 5-0, and Stoke 4-1 away, not to mention drawing at home against Hull and Burnley, don't these clubs know the script, turn up, roll over ?
