The vast majority venting anger on the boards over the last few days would no doubt be laughing off such small blips, should they be happening at any other club as nothing to worry about and saying they are still in a fantastic position.

We are emotionally involved here and whilst its understandable to have a certain amount of knee jerk reaction due to that tie, there comes a point to sit back and just think before going off half cocked.

Season is not over yet and even if we don't win the league or CL, we will be back challenging again next year and that's a guarantee.

I'm not sure its knee jerk as such fella.

This is no dig at anyone but their have been people questioning Txiki and Pellegrini all season. To me it just seems like more and more people are becoming wise to the situation.

Yet Txiki and Pellegrini won a league and cup double just last season.

Chelsea and Mourinho won fuck all last year yet all of a sudden they are the epitome of everything perfect in the world of football and our club is an example of everything being done wrong?

Its knee jerk mate.

This season is not over yet.

Like I said, more and more people are questioning them, which is something that a lot weren't doing a few months ago

And you were one of the ones not questioning, and now you are questioning

Welcome to the fickle world of being a football supporter, it was so much easier when we were shit

Fair enough - success comes in peaks and troughs then. So a poor season after a good one is to be accepted without debate?
Chelsea did win nothing last year, but everyone knew Little Horse would improve them by the end of last season and certainly this. Not so sure Pellegrini can create such impetus.

Our succession planning and transfer dealings have by and large been wholly inadequate.

Who's pushing Toure/Silva/Kompany/Aguero... we have one winger in the entire squad, yet we play a four man midfield.

Bony, was a waste of money - he brings nothing that Aguero/Dzeko/Jovetic don't already have

Sinclair, Sagna, Fernando should never have been identified as suitable candidates for our squad.

It's like we did all our big business 2010/2011 and think we can just dine out on the same players for years to come.

We are supposed to treat everything that Soriano writes on a blackboard as gospel and that Txiki hasn't signed one duffer in the three transfer windows he has had to improve the squad- we haven't improved from last year we have regressed. If pressing football is Soriano and Txiki's remit then why the fuck are we not doing it.

Sagna in fairness was a short term cheap fix brought about by FFP restrictions

Re: Ferran Soriano & Txiki Begiristain

Is it txiki that identifies our singings? If so, he is fucking wank at it

Agree with what you say, barring the bit about Bony. He clearly brings to the table a quality of strength and hold up play that we don't have. He also wins more in the air than Dzeko, despite being smaller.

Agree with the rest though. Teams need freshening up. It was evident after the first title win, and it's evident again. You need that player who gives the dressing room a lift, and increases competition for places. Accepted, we can't buy huge names every summer, but if we have ambition to be a real threat in Europe we need to buy more players of the calibre of the 4 you mentioned above. We haven't bought a top, top drawer player since Aguero.
I do think Bony will be good, though.

My real worry, though, is if we continue to buy these players that improve the squad, but not the XI, what do players with huge personal ambition like Aguero think?
