Ferran Soriano & Txiki Begiristain

Since the takeover Sheikh Mansour has delivered success on and off the pitch beyond our wildest dreams of only 5 years ago. He will let Soriano and Txiki run the club until he thinks the job could be done better by somebody else. I trust his judgement with a long term ambition over some on here who want to bring the whole thing tumbling down in some knee jerk reaction to results not being quite as good as those 2 years ago.
If we sort out the defending and things click we could still have a successful season and some are going to look very silly. And if we have to wait another season then then I can after all I waited 36 years last time.
Perhaps winning the league 2 years ago was too early and built expectation too quickly, not that I'd give that day up for anything.

It's the same after every result, whether we win or lose. Either we're going to be be worldbeaters and bulldoze everything before us, or, we're absolute shite and we're going to have trouble making the Europa League places and the whole management from the boardroom down want fucking off forthwith. It's getting predictable and boring. What some on here need to do is stop wobbling and look at the bigger picture. We're doing great financially, which is the biggest precondition to success in this age. We can all see what was happening last season. We had stagnated under a manager who had done great for us but couldn't seem to take us any further than he already had done. We've made the change we needed to make, let's see what happens. We've played some cracking football this season, got some great results, but things obviously need to be improved away from home which i am sure the management team are working on as we speak. We may not at the end of the season win the league but just as likely we might win the league or another trophy that we are still in contention for. This for me is the spice of following City. The lows as well as the highs. If we don't expect too much here and now, we'll enjoy the season a lot more and the success will inevitably come. So stop sniping at the management, get behind them and watch City go from strength to strength.

Don't think that's right we always likely to win at home and it's the away form that's has to pick up at least 75% or WE WILL be fighting it out for 4th at best.. Saying that the injures we have had this season are not helping..

Don't get me started on this duo!

I can honestly say I would rather be trapped in a lift with Baconface rather that this pair of deceitful clowns. Absolutely hate them and always will for their conniving treasonous undermining of not only Mancini but ourselves as fans!

In all fairness we should by any reasonable thinking have won both the Premier League and the FA Cup last year. From the moment they arrived however they set about a plan to remove Mancini at all costs even to the point that at the risk of Mancini winning the Cup, they contrived to set the wheels in motion that allowed the press to know Mancini was to lose his job the evening before a Cup Final.

Anyone who believes any different is actually as dumb as this pair want you to be!

I'm expecting loads of replies saying I'm talking crap, we've signed great players, the training ground is nice and the ground is to be extended! In reality however, all this was going to happen anyway and the only thing I have heard Soriano talk about is a football team in bloody New York!

Facts are they, and them alone, are 100% the reason we are currently trophyless and they and their yes-man Pellegrini are the reasons we will remain so!

And further more, I had this pair worked out very early on. In fact I had a thread running about these two called 'Has the solution become the problem - Ferran and Txiki' in which I was ridiculed as knowing f*ck all!

Of course I won't embarrass the idiots on that thread just know by quoting them, but they like many others will have plenty of time during the summer next year to mull over Ferran and Txiki themselves, if, as it kooks likely, this year becomes a washout and the likes of Silva, Aguero, Yaya and Kompany want Champions League again.

I take it you have documented facts to back up your allegations?
The facts are clear, the Barca boys were hired to change the managerial model and they delivered. Mancini, a trophyless season and a wasted summer window were the price. We're still waiting for the payoff.
IIRC. Marwood was in charge of that transfer window. The Barca Boys as you like to call them weren't even in post at that point.

I really not sure what these 2 are here to do, we are led to believe that they are here to set up a Barcelona style of playing right through the club, with an academy to match. I see that this promise buys them a lot of time , they rocked up & forced a power struggle which undermined Mancini culminating in the disgraceful F.A cup final. The players threw that game , going through the motions is the best they could muster. The power struggle was won which is all that mattered to them. I remember when we won the league & every pundit and expert said " this team will dominate for years" & it would have , a major signing here , a bit of style change there, but no , these 2 wanted their own man & what a great job he`s doing turning a side that could have dominated for years into side that`ll be lucky to make top 4. The brief glory glory days could be over thanks to these two fraudsters.

If you're not sure what they are here to do maybe try some research, before commenting and calling them fraudsters.

It's quite true that Soriano didn't get officially appointed until the final day of the window in 2012 and Begiristain later in October but both were effectively in control from January.

The players are the ones who go out there and win the titles and the FA Cup's.

If they cared that much or had any respect for Mancini they should have gone out and flattened all before them making it impossible to sack Mancini.

Back to back title winner and two FA cup's in three years would not have seen Mancini sacked.

End of.

If you are questioning the motives of Txiki and Soriano you are in turn questioning the judgement of Khaldoon and Sheikh Mansour. Two very astute people and by all accounts business men.

Do they make many bad decisions? especially ones of this level and at their cost?

Doubt it.

So what does the players current indifference when playing away mean?

They were apparently compelled to lose only 5 aways all last season. It'd take a ludicrous improvement to even match that now.
