That 'outrageous back heel volley' had more luck about it than skill! and what does being away from home have to do with it?

It wasn’t luck at all, it was innovative and took a highly skilled player to pull it off. I’m all for posters trying to pretend he’s not good enough but let’s not go down the route of playing down a genuine moment of absolute top class finishing.

I think people are mistaking a player wanting to leave under the circumstances (Barcelona calling, higher wages) with being unhappy and not wanting to be here. Those are different things. You can ask of a player to stay six more months, it’s not the end of the world. He is leaving because Barcelona can’t afford to not qualify to the UCL.

I am not saying the season will be a disaster because he is leaving. However, one of the reasons people like to say that we don’t to business in January is because we usually get what needs to be done in the summer. Well, we already failed to get a striker in the last window. But what was said here by multiple posters was, At least we have Ferran, he had a season to settle, he perfected the 9 role. And now this one unique player in the squad is leaving and APPARENTLY not a single one is coming. So excuse me if I don’t think that is a wise decision. What happened so far in the season plays no part in what happens in the second half, which historically could be much more difficult. Of course it could also be easier: we could leave the UCL earlier and without that and the Carabao in the schedule, handling the season becomes easier. We could also miraculously be spared of injuries in the next five months. We could have our rivals in the PL losing several games unexpectedly and giving us an easier run. All this could happen, sure, and then you will come at the end of the season and say I was wrong. But you don’t plan for that scenario. Our greatest strength is squad depth and we are gambling with it in several fronts
Will you stop crying, i have a headache

How come when he scored the goal No one mentioned luck but now he is going it was luck . A lot on here find it difficult to praise players who are moving on to new pastures . City is not the be all and end all for every player we have .

It’s the most predictable reaction of all

I personally have no problem with him leaving I understand the going home aspect we have made a profit
The club will replace him and have a plan to do so
People need to remember this club is no longer being run by idiots (Swales)
In the past 10 years or so we have won multiple trophies and become one of the most successful sides and well run clubs in the world
Happy Xmas blues
