I think this is decent business by the club if I'm honest.
I think Torres is a good young player, but let's be honest if he was at Arsenal, Chelsea, United or Liverpool we wouldn't be clamouring to buy him. Sure, he has shown some great touches and scored some decent goals but he's neither a centre forward or better than our wide players. His biggest problem is that he's good but doesn't seem to have any position.
He's done well enough for his age for us and I think he will do well in Barcelona. He will be one of those that 'got away' I suspect but sometimes a move doesn't work out for whatever reason. I'm sure Chelsea will buy him for £100m in 5 years time and the press will be saying the club cocked up, but at the moment I don't see him as anything more than a squad player at best. I suspect he needs to play in Spain where he knows the league and language.
Let's also be honest, Mr Guardiola knows a thing or two about footballers and he seems happy for the deal to go through. He might make the odd noise but he's okay with this overall. If he's happy, I'm happy.
We've made a tidy profit on a player we won't miss. We have to give the club a LOT of credit on this one!
