I wouldn’t read too much into any of the shit flying around about Torres at the moment - it’s all from Barca mouthpieces, touting about the narrative they want to put out there that they’re still in for the big players, and are lowballing us from a position of strength given the irresistible allure of the Barca shirt!
The reality is City aren’t going to take some Barca cast off just to help them out. For this to be attractive to us, we need the cash to put towards our rebuild next summer.
De Jong might be an option, if they’re open to letting him go - but none from the list above will ever play for City.

If Torres and Sterling want to go and we have 40m and 45m on the table respectively, they will be sold.
We are not in the business of keeping players on who don't want to be here.
Look at the rags for the best example on why this is a bad idea. They kept the likes of Jones and Lingard around on huge contracts to spite themselves accepting the transfer offers on the table.
There are very few clubs that our players will want to go to, you don't keep Torres around and reject the offer from Barca because you think Leicester are going to put 70m on the table. It doesn't happen.
Sterling, maybe an arguement there , given the wages he is on ang how long he has left on his contract. Even so, he is worth well more than that, and replacing hin will cost a lot, so there is value in not selling him for less.
Torrea though, no chance. Long contract, age, potential, literally nothing to lose by being firm with the valuation.

Attitude apparently, turning up late to training and not eating properly not trying his best to get fit.
But barca's medical department is dreadful. Dembele is quality if we could get rid of his injuries he'd be incredible in our team.
