Nothing imminent on this.

Interest is real but nothing advanced.

Bit baffling, this one. Not sure how you can possibly find better value from our perspective. €40m seems like robbery from what I can tell and exactly our type of signing. I guess you’ve got to take the financial package into consideration and we don’t exactly blow clubs out of the water.

There's a video on YouTube of him and his sister walking their dogs on the beach. They appear to be a very close family and he's quiet and unassuming, rather like someone else we brought from Valencia. As a player, he reminds me a little of Beckham. Doesn't appear the quickest over the ground, so not your normal 'winger', but the promptness with which he delivers the ball and the accuracy compensate for that. Could see him moving more inside as he matures and fills out.

As long as their not as close as Neymar's family..

Just watched some highlights him to gage where he is at.

- He's faster than Bernardo and Mahrez.
- He's definitely slower than Sane.
- He's got a better weaker foot than Sane.
- Very technical player who probably has the ability to play inside.
- Got a great cross on him.

I know it's only highlights but it gives you an idea.

My main fear was him being another Nolito.

to solve that must make sure he goes to a proper estate agent and buys a house. Living in a cave without modern cons can bring the worst in anyone.

What I like about him from what I've heard is the variety. I think City have reached the point where teams basically know what we're gonna do in attack, and although most of the time we're too good to stop, sometimes a resolute defence will find the answers (Southampton). Torres seems like he can play on both the left and right and also cut inwards with ease. He could add some much-needed variety and unsettle defences with a switch-up in play as a sub.

Sounds like an inbred

Ofc he brought us some goals and assits but he dident have anything except he's speed, no dribbler, not very strong. And dident we had some tall strikers for he's crosses? Still waiting for why people bring up Navas and Nolito.
It's the same people who still think it's clever to post "even Samaras looked good on youtube" in response to **any** compilation/clip of a young player, despite him last playing for the club twelve years ago.

It’s all a matter of opinions. He had blistering pace and was incredibly effective in his first season. He could pick out smaller players as well, Aguero versus Spurs, Nasri versus that lot, but as teams gave up even trying to attack, his main threat was blunted and our attacking play as a team was stifled too. He always gave his best, even when asked to play full back, and he has domestic medals to put with his Spanish and International medals. Was he our best winger? No, but he arguably deserves more respect than he gets.
And, I never brought him up.:-)

Always been regarded as one if not the best of his generation in Spain bit like Phil with England.
