It’s not.
Pep didn’t stop them playing.
Pep didn’t make them make mistakes.
Pep didn’t make them stop trying.
Pep didn’t make them mentally weak.
Funnily enough as soon as their third hit the back of the net they all started running around like mad men.
Pressing, finding space and running.
Yes Pep made subs but there’s enough quality in that team (well there was) not to throw away a 3 goal lead.

He got the subs wrong IMO but one top quality player made two hideous mistakes that ain’t on Pep.

Pep has to find some answers but this is fundamentally the result of an appalling set of injuries.

We have some rebuilding to do and Pep needs to make some tweaks but a fully fit squad does not go 7 games without a win.

Sounds like Paul Gascoigne is up for the job then on the basis of your points. :)

Have there ever been 3 worse goals conceded in 15 mins of champions league football?

Every single one self inflicted. Interested to hear what Pep says about that. They offered nothing until we handed them a goal, the mental fragility even at 3-1 to screw that up is alarming.

It’s not about making subs it’s about the subs he made. He went to a midfield of Lewis mcatee and Nunes with that pussey kid behind and it fell apart

Rico was our best player
He was bobbins again. Pep constantly shouting at him from the sideline to pass the ball through the lines and slapping his legs in frustration when he didn’t. Then he played four of their lads onside for their third because he wasn’t concentrating.

Very odd behaviour from him tonight.

Sitting there with his head in his hands at 3-1. That’s not normal.
Well up to 75 mins there was plenty of fight. Some of our best football this season but they just crumbled after 75 mins. A couple of silly mistakes cost us and Pep holding his head in his hands at 3-1 doesn't help. He seemed to sarcastically cheer when they scored their second which was even more bizarre

He is barely on the touchline anymore!

Triple substitution with quarter of the game. Youth player in place of Ake, remove Gundogan who was controlling the game, and another youth player instead of Foden.

Not the first time we've lost control of a game with a triple sub.

I think Pep needs a share of the blame too. He made two nonsensical subs. Debruyne for Gundo and McAtee for Ake. He didn't need to do that.

Sorry no, Simpson Pusey also came on to play defence, your post makes the Ake/McAtee swap sound more ludicrous than it was.

We were 3 nil up ffs, should have been able to bring on tits out Jackie, Moonchester and Jason Manford and still seen the game out.
