Feyenoord (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

I don’t disagree about him thinking that, but he’s paid to manage the team and he didn’t do that tonight.

When their first went in, the team needed some reassurance, a few instructions or a bollocking. Stand up and offer something. Sitting there with his head in his hands can’t happen.
Agree mate but I was just explaining why he did it.

Yeah but when he decides to come he has to get something man, ball or both even if it means a red
lol my son and I were watching the replay. He's a keeper in college here in US. Said exactly that. If you're going to come out that far, its all or nothing. The ball and if not that, the man. Take the red. Ederson would have been better off punching the ball away. He led with his head and probably closed his eyes doing it because he wasn't even close.

On a positive note, we looked a lot more balanced up to 70 minutes, Jack and Nunes played really well, Phil had a better game and Earling scored a great pen and a great goal!
Jack was.... just jack for me.
Wouldn't mind the 100 m back in the bank if I'm honest

I really missed Alvarez in the last few games.
He'd be running around like a demented terrier chasing the ball down.
We just looked lethargic

That's true but what do we need to do now.
Just need to keep batting on and hopefully come through the other side.
It's obvious that most of the starting eleven and maybe half the bench aren't fully fit, they are getting patched up and thrown out on to the field.
Everyone seems to be at different levels of fitness, and if you've played at a decent level then if you aren't fit and are tired then decision making goes out the window and you make rash choices that cost you.
When the team gets fully fit we'll see a different story hopefully.

I thought we played well for the majority of the game. The second half we played really well.

Then the last 15 mins....

We just seem to be conceding with every chance against us at the moment.

It's a bad patch. We need Dias back and KDB match fit.

And just to remind some of you, we didn't lose tonight.
I thought that Gvardiol was both very good and horrendous

Just heard in the radio that we have conceded two or more in six consecutive games for the first time since 1963 and that Pep has never had one of his teams fail to win from being 3-0 up.

Strange times indeed !
Nice to make different records for a change

At 3-3 maybe, but at 1-3 it was just a freak mistake leading to a consolation goal for the Cloggies
So why the mock manic depressive mode when still 2 goals up at home with 12 minutes to go ? He should be exuding confidence in his players and encouraging them. It was certainly a weird look and offered nothing to the players presumably looking to him for "something" in that moment.
