Worst thing we seem to have done here is agree to a transfer cap. In order to obtain the quality needed to adhere to the 4 + 4 rule and compete effectively in this competition we should have been looking to go after the likes of shaw, lallana, Barkley fabregas, pogba etc but they wouldn't come cheap (another myth of ffp) but with just £50m to spend and our hands basically tied behind our backs we find ourselves in a difficult position and everyone knows it and will use it against us

Nastasic doesn't have to be registered. Milner, Richards, and Rodwell won't be at the club in Sept IMO. Certainly not all three of them and i'd expect minimum two of them to leave.
I take your point about it only being for one season, but the rules regarding h/g players aren't going to change. Yes we can make the numbers up for one season, but long term the problem is going to continue to exist if our intention is to sign only foreign players this summer because even if Milner/Rodwell stay for another season, the chances of them being here the following season are remote.
On the flip side how many English players are there out there who could come in and be effective for us - honestly there's only a handful and most of them will move this summer. Certainly the Southampton contingent will ... Barkley may not however if you're going to target Barkley next summer, why not target him this summer and give yourself a better chance in the CL.

So still nobody knows what the rule is, but some think it'll be the death of us if it's 13, even though we finished bottom of the fucking group under Mancini then finished level on points with Bayern the fiollowing season, as well as wiining the double.
But if we don't win the group next season, we're all doomed. My arse.
And many people are certain that Sheikh Mansour planned to chuck us another 100 milion to spunk on players & now he can't & we have to suffer with just the 50.
