I've had an email off the head of communications from UEFA finally. The gist of it is "UEFA is not in a position to make any further comment relating to individual settlement agreements at this time."

Weird that they want to keep this part of the settlements a secret when they had no issue with explaining in glorious detail how the fines would work!

Any idea if they're still keeping it secret with regards to Arsenal or Everton appealing for harsher punishment?

I think that it will be kept quiet until the appeal date runs out

Am I right in think that this is close of play on Monday?

Not encouranging anyone to appeal the UEFA sanctions for an increase but surely UEFA must be clear as to what the sanctions are that Clubs eg Arsenal base their decision on. Not very transparent if UEFA are keeping something back that would help Clubs to make a decision.

Gazidis is Arsenal CEO and a UEFA Director.

I think you'll find that 'lack of transparency' is exactly the way uefa operate in respect of ffp - so no change there then.

Seems to be widely reported now that we will only have to field 5 homegrown - Crossing my fingers its true and not just papers speculating, if true we should have a real chance of winning the CL and sticking two fingers up to the UEFA and their bent make it up as you go along FFP rules!! -

I thought other clubs could only appeal if we didnt accept sanctions and we went to appeal. I could be wrong but im sure i read that somewhere. Also this ffp bollocks has been taken by the club as a "pinch" and will be fuck all to worry about very soon. The clubs that should be worried are the likes of liverpool who will be audited now they are actually in europe, their losses and spending over last 2-3 years really doesnt work as far as ffp is concerned.

The homegrown element of our 21 man squad is now set at 5 not 8, so looking at the squad we used last year, its not really a sanction at all.

Once we pass ffp I can see it falling away - uefa want to fuck clubs like our's, not liverpool's

I think other clubs can appeal if the club involved comes to an 'arrangement' with UEFA. Although the full details of the original sanctions and the compromised deal would need to be disclosed for them to decide whether to go ahead or not. Given the confused and varied responses to the 21 man squad makeup coming out of UEFA I can't see how that has possibly happened. If UEFA had passed on all the details they would have been leaked by someone by now (probably Whinger ;) ) .

The makeup of the 5 home grown players will be equally as important as the number itself, we need as many of those 5 spots to be association trained as possible.

Anything up to 1 CT & 4 AT confirmed, you heard it here first.

Hey, if the media can make it up as they go along why can't I?
