FFP - Why I believe we failed

its all bollocks, we failed ffp because we are Manchester city. they have been after us from the off. lying cheating mard arse cunts. "fair play" ? protecting the cartel more like. they are fooling no one.

Actually, it never ceases to amaze me how many people they've fooled. I'd love to be there when the likes of Villa, Everton, Newcastle and others, realise that they've been consigned to mediocrity without a hope in hell of attracting a serious investor, due to these financial constraints on investing the amount of cash it takes to break into the elite. I'm sure we'll be ok, but this has got to be bad for the decent fans of clubs all over the country who want to dream that what happened to us will happen to them. It won't.

It really pisses me off whenever anyone discusses Ed Thompson without making any reference whatsoever to his micro-penis.

Poor form.
PB was the first to reference him I believe, yet another fuck, it's these little details, well microscopic that bring clarity to a complicated topics.

Poor form indeed.

You should email that to Martin Samuel m.samuel@dailymail.co.uk . I'm still a little surprised we didn't take this all the way. Pragmatism is all well and good but we've let the bullying clubs hiding behind uefa take the piss and that doesn't entirely sit well even if I can understand that it may be the more sensible option.

I'm not. The club clearly doesn't want to get into the mud on any issue. Just look at how the club has been silent on nearly every issue thrown at the club, no matter how absurd. They have decided to take the high road, which is fine with me. Fighting UEFA in the courts could lead to banning us all together on a permanent basis. Which IMO would almost certainly be their response to making them look stupid if we won. God forbid we lose they would really come down. A minor penalty for 1 year and the whole issue is over with. The money isn't an issue, particularly since it will only end up being like 15m. UCL squad reduction is a bit of a blow but really isn't a huge issue. Really only means we won't have the same depth as before. Maybe Kolorov, Garcia and Negredo left out and that shouldn't effect us getting through the group stage. Only issue would be if we had injuries to key players.

Question for anyone who knows the details of the regulations:

Would a basic salary of, say, £2.5m and a 'bonus' of £7.5m for not getting relegated be allowed to get round the no increase in salary restriction?

They would have sanctioned us if we had missed it by a penny. The bastards want a pay off and they have just that, from nine clubs amounting to absolute millions. Their interpretation of our accounts is scandalous just as calling Champions League is scandalous it is nothing more than a super league, Platini knows it, the G 14 know it and we all know it. They wanted a super league by invite only and have manipulated the rules accordingly.

They might have won the battle but as many have said we will win the war, we have paid our membership, they have had their fun and we will react accordingly.

Mr Dupont over to you.

Not right now, are you? I imagine there is a thread in the cellar to discuss this subject if you want to.
I imagine there is.

But the fact remains that based on the rules, City expected to pass using the pre2010 rule. PB, has gone through the ramifications and, being far more learned than most when it comes to accounting, also felt we would pass.

So when you claim that he has misled people, you are wrong. Your comments are somewhat perfidious.

You have joined the debate with benefit of hindsight and for some reason, you are trying to claim the moral high ground.

If you re-read my posts you will see I have never claimed he misled people. I went to great lengths to point out that my issue was with people treating his posts as fact rather than being with the posts themselves.
