So when you claim that he has misled people, you are wrong. Your comments are somewhat perfidious.

You have joined the debate with benefit of hindsight and for some reason, you are trying to claim the moral high ground.

If you re-read my posts you will see I have never claimed he misled people. I went to great lengths to point out that my issue was with people treating his posts as fact rather than being with the posts themselves.

There are some people on the forum who you can't argue against or you will just get drowned out by their sycophants.

That change in wording was the difference blueparrot if I've read it right.

The question is, the current guidance is quite clear. We fail. We'd surely have to prove that they amended it deliberately to ensure we failed wouldn't we?

I certainly got that impression and anyone saying anything other than that is being somewhat disingenuous.

But in your efforts to make your point about not taking everything "as gospel" you do seem to be taking a negative stance against a poster who is contributing hugely to improving the understanding of what can be quite a confusing topic for many forum members and whose efforts are greatly appreciated.

In fairness we have failed FFP and some thought we would be okay, most couldn't care less about the finer legal details, yesterday was a shock to many because the FFP thread was full of optimism that we would be okay, personally if the same posters say we will be okay next year do i take this as a good sign or just use common sense and wait and see

This thread mirrors the transfer forum where a poster gets everyone's hopes up and then we get the bickering when it goes tits up, the guy has hardly had a go at PB, some of the replies defending him have been childish or a tad cringeworthy

If Uefa can move the goalposts under interpretation then guessing the future is pointless, our transfer window this summer will probably tell us more than anyone reading up on the rules

Bill, I know CITY are the centre of our universe, but we're really not that important to UEFA.

Their aim was to introduce FFP to propect their cosy cartel. Us & PSG represented this threat.
Now they've done it, the drawbridge is up & no-one else can get in, there's nothing in it for them to punish us any more.

Job done from UEFA - they'll move onto something else.
