Can someone tell me how the fuck to play this? I was pretty good on FIFA 13. Can't score any hardly muster a shot against the CPU never mind online!

played it a bit this weekend, won 17 lost 3, the goalkeeping on its abysmal, anyone on xbox want a game let me know :)
I've done a few hours on it now (pc so prob same as Xbox) and I like it. Suits my style of play which is slow build up as opposed to fookin leg it down the wing. Chipped through balls are pretty successful but then they were in 13. Your controller is analogue, the computer knows how far you're pushing the stick - if you move your player around without the stick touching the side you'll find he controls it better. Be gentle with your stick (!) and keep your eyes open for Kun's runs.

they can fuck off - not having my money this year. spent 45quid on the worlds worst piece of shit last year, never seen so many bugs/glitches in a game ever. career mode freezes after 2 seasons - managed to get onto a 4th season but freezes everytime i try to sell/buy a player. the ball missing, players missing - last night had one of my players in my kit playing against me! just needlessly running around the pitch tackling me every now and again - unbelievable!!! fuck off fifa

The game is so much more realistic now and rewards patient, intelligent attacking play instead of everybody relying on sitting 11 men behind the ball and lightening quick counter attacks with the old "ping pong" button bashing style that even 11 Messi's would struggle to re-create.
In an attacking sense the players make a lot more intelligent, angled runs to create space allowing you to keep possession and create more chances. Movement in the box is also a lot better, meaning that if you're struggling to play through the middle with passes you can vary it with crosses and try and get headers in. It's all about not rushing passes and protecting the ball, if you try to turn and play an accurate pass in one movement it's not going to work 95% of the time so the old "ping pong button bashing" passing style doesn't work anymore.
Defending has been hugely improved too for the reasons above, it means that people who sit 11 men behind the ball and just try to contain and then play "ping pong" football are screwed because they'll just lose possession constantly. It encourages attacking football and defending high up the pitch because if you understand football you'll be able to close players down quickly and force them into rushing passes and therefore giving the ball away.
Overall there's a lot more emphasis on the attacking team being in control because you can really pin teams back into there own half.

Got it today. Played 4 on seasons, won 2 drawn 2 but it is horrible. Games are incredibly scrappy, can't get the through balls to go in the direction I want, the players can't control the ball and shooting is a nightmare. All feels like more luck than skill.

Is the actual game much better than the demo? Wasn't too impressed with the demo but the finished version is normally better, the reviews on here are putting me off buying it though.
