FIFA delegates getting their cummupence! Blatter GONE today.

Not normally a fan of the FBI but glad to see they've got involved in this at last, don't think they are gonna be leaned on or bullied by governments or massive sponsors like some Europeans might have been. The U.S. attorney general has also mouthed off about this already so don't think anyone is gonna back down now. Maybe, just maybe, the bastards are gonna get their comeuppance at last.

The FBI wiretapped them, they're finished. The only question is whether they will flip and give testimony against other unindicted FIFA officials. The Justice Department will try to nail Blatter if they can.

I'm praying that someone can lead them to UEFA and other corrupt football organization too. They have too much influence over cowardly governments.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Blatter manages to get away with it. He's slipperier than a greased weasel.

Almost certain it was Prestwich Blue.

Well done PB if you , these fukers will now collapse and turn on each other like the shit houses they are.

At last a chance to clean up the most corrupt sport in the world (except boxing and the nags :-) )

Extradition says they will have no option lol
And good luck being out on bail pending the trial. They may sit in federal prison (most of them are hellish) for a year or two. We have this odd situation in the US where federal judges have to be confirmed by the US Senate and that pretty much hasn't happened in years due to political infighting. The backlog is nigh incomprehensible.

Meanwhile at FIFA HQ.

Re -- testimony about Blatter et al . . . I think it's pretty clear that this is the expectation, as it is in most conspiracy investigations. Today's arrests almost assuredly stem in part from testimony by Chuck Blazer, Jack Warner's kids and this guy from Traffic Sports. All their guilty pleas were "unsealed" today. Serious, serious things they've plead to per ESPNFC:

"They face maximum jail terms of incarceration of 20 years for the RICO conspiracy, wire fraud conspiracy, wire fraud, money laundering conspiracy, money laundering and obstruction of justice charges."

These are the kind of charges (i.e. the RICO statute) prosecutors use in going after mobsters. They won't get near 20 years because I'm sure they've plea-bargained in exchange for testimony about the 14 arrested today. Blazer was forced into being an informant after the Feds threatened him for not paying taxes on his kickbacks while at FIFA.

The net is cast wide on the evidence but also under the assumption one or more of the 14 will flip on Blatter and other higher-ups in exchange for a reduced sentence.

This is very, very serious. IMO Blatter cannot survive.
