FIFA delegates getting their cummupence! Blatter GONE today.

I have my popcorn ready for when the US federal prosecutors stand up in court. I've worked closely with many of them in the past and they're lethal.

Edit: Also for those unfamiliar with RICO law, the US government can seize private property of those convicted under the statutes.

The sort of blokes Mr Burns keeps in the kennel next to the hounds hehe.

This is going be interesting.

On one side you have a large, international organisation that works mostly underground and in the shadows that operates under it's own rules.

Then on the other side is the FBI.

Also the political ramifications between the US and Russia.

This is going to get ugly. There is a hell of a lot of things at stake. Lots of illegal golden hand shakes by the sound of things. Greased palms all over the shop. All in turn have their own interests in jeopardy. Imagine how much money it would take to buy a vote. And it's lost because of this investigation. People are going to be seriously pissed about losing their cash for nothing. Influential people I would guess. I hope they get them all. Mwhaaaaa Mwhaaaaa.

I haven't read anything in any great detail, just news headlines, so on a scale of 1-10 how fucked are FIFA?

Great point Taco.

Really glad the Americans have taken it on as they have the balls to go through with it, rather than the ineffectual hand wringers here.

Also thought it was interesting not only the strength of the language used in the press conference but by the people who said it.

They will defend themselves at any cost.
I'm sure they will and it's possible although improbable that one or two might get away with it. Unfortunately for them, US federal prosecutors have roughly a 85% conviction rate, and that's out of the cases that make it to court discounting plea deals.
