I think UEFA would look doubly stupid if they announced a guilty verdict first only for CAS to rule that they hadn't actually followed due process in their investigation.

But if CAS say that, they are going to look bad anyway.

CAS I can understand taking their time, as they have to start afresh, get comments from both parties, but UEFA are well advanced.

Citys referral was made following “a basic lack of due process” by the IC’s chief investigator, Yves Leterme, which ignored “a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence”. That reaction suggests that this alleged failure of due process forms the basis of our appeal.
CAS said an arbitration procedure would now be started, with an exchange of written submissions between the parties and a panel of CAS arbitrators convened to hear the appeal.
“Once the Panel has been formally constituted, it will issue a procedural calendar. It is not possible to say at this time when the Arbitral Award for this matter will be issue.”
CAS as of yet to announce a timescale for their investigation
Im not worried in the slightest and along with the club Im confident this will be a positive outcome in our favour​
