FIFA investigation: No transfer ban

Well red Sally and the BBC didn't go anywhere near it on the sports section this morning ! And red Sally always liked to get a sly dig in when she can .
It's like it never happened, surprised really given the airtime this & the other charges got when we were lifting trophies in May.

Anyone would think they were hurting from our escape.

From my very limited understanding of this, I thought the UEFA investigation along with the FA one were the ones to be concerned about?????

We could still get transfer bans from those couldn't we?????

One of (or both) are linked to supposed breaches of FFP arent they?

Can some one please clarify....thanks

The UEFA case is FFP-related, nothing to do with transfers and UEFA can't impose transfer bans as these are in FIFA's remit for cross-border transfers and the FA's for domestic transfers. I'm not sure what stage the FA investigation is at or even whether there is an investigation - wasn't it linked to the FIFA case which has now been settled?

FA's was about payments to Sancho's agent (I think) as a way of getting round rules on signing youth players. A different matter to the UEFA one.

I think there is also one which is similar the UEFA one; the argument being that if City broke all those UEFA FFP rules, then does that mean they also broke FA rules.

It makes sense for the FA to look into the second one, although the impression I have is that it was pushed to do so by other big PL clubs. UEFA and FA have different FFP rules, but it seems unlikely that the FA one will get anywhere if the UEFA one doesn't - I'd expect it to have the same problems in proving anything.

Regarding the FIFA fine, I've seen it reported that the club laid out some options for how they could be punished, one of which was the fine, none of which were a transfer ban.

That just sounds like an odd way for FIFA to deal with it.
