Fifa to clamp down on City and Chelsea business model

Mooy would never have left City's first team squad for Huddersfield.

No chance.

As an Australian based blue, he needs game time. If you paid attention to how the succession of Australian coaches pick their teams, they have moved on from automatically picking European based players even if they're not playing to picking players who are.

Despite scoring a bunch of goals, whilst not getting a whole lot of game time in the Scottish league last season, Jamie McClaren has been overlooked of late for Australian based players. And whatever you think about the SPL, it shits on the A-League in terms of quality.

I agree with you, that Mooy could have definitely done a job for us, and have said as much on here to that fact - however whilst that would be good for City as a club, it wouldn't be good for the player, and I think you fail to acknowledge that in your analysis. Players have a say in their own careers.

I absolutely don't agree that Mooy has furthered his career by moving to Huddersfield, no.

And if we offered him the chance to stay or were to offer him the chance to come back, he would be herein a heartbeat & he would play in the World Cup.

For me Mooy could have been a squad player with us but he is better off where he is. He's at his best when everything runs through him and that was never going to happen with us.

I am late into this thread but I think it is worth looking at 3 things.
1) They are attacking our business model with regards to loan players and therefore our academy that will effect how we get money.
2) They are looking to ban us from the Champs league which effects how we get money
3) They are looking at a transfer ban which again effects our revenue stream as it would impact on number 1.

We are looking at three different things when we should be concentrating on the three being one attack. It is a systematic attack on how we operate because it is a succesfull business model compared tho the rest of the G14.
