FIFA Women's WC France 2019

Think it all comes down to money. More young kids player soccer in North America than any other sport but by the time they get into High School and certainly in the Colleges and Universities the major funding goes into American Football and Baseball

Very true. Baseball has been losing a decent amount of popularity as well and american football is having far less turnout among youth since more research has gone into CTE and the long-term effects of playing. I genuinely do think in the next 10-15 years we could see an American side in the top 15-20 teams in the world but funding will definitely have to play a part.

That wasn't too bad tbf. Maybe throw caution to the wind and take Stokes off for Greenwood?

From the research I have seen, and some of my experiences coaching and playing whilst living here, I think it is only a matter of time before football overtakes baseball and/or hockey in popularity. Some of it is just demographics (barring any horrific actions taken by a Trump dictatorship, mind).

The main difference for me is, the USA can pass and control the ball. Our passing has been bloody awful all tournament and we
won't create enough unless we can start hitting players in the same coloured shirt. Then they control it, as if they've seen a ball before.
