FIFA Women's WC France 2019

More I see the USA goal, the more I am disappointed in Bronze.

She is much better than that.

From the research I have seen, and some of my experiences coaching and playing whilst living here, I think it is only a matter of time before football overtakes baseball and/or hockey in popularity. Some of it is just demographics (barring any horrific actions taken by a Trump dictatorship, mind).

Never happen for two simple reasons - one, money & the other is that there simply isn't enough physical aggression in the sport. Yanks need their violence and the sport will never see wages that compare to that of NBA, NFL & MLB much less NHL

The main difference for me is, the USA can pass and control the ball. Our passing has been bloody awful all tournament and we
won't create enough unless we can start hitting players in the same coloured shirt. Then they control it, as if they've seen a ball before.
Posted basically the same earlier.
There are several issues with our play, but one of them is that in possession, whether under pressure or not, we are consistently picking the wrong player to play the pass. It is nearly always the player with the nearest American, which is absolutely not what we should be doing with a highly physical, exceptionally fit USA team.

This would absolute drive Pep mad.

The MLS has very little chance of catching those leagues, if any at all. I'm strictly speaking of the players we're producing. I'm aware that the best will always choose to play in Europe, as they should.

You’re both underestimating how much the culture is changing in the metropolitan areas of the USA. The growth trajectory of the MLS and localised football leagues alone is impressive, and money (especially the commercial/advertising sort) follows interest/demand. Wages follow money. And so on.
