Absolutely right. Pens for flimsiest, inadvertent, unintended ball to hand but not for a shoulder charge 'n forearm push! I've given up what else needs to be added to a 'push' for it be considered penal! FIFA, IFAB and associated knobheads have just royally fucked up the LotG.

Sweden by far the better side so far, Japan struggling to keep the ball and Sweden looking dangerous. Great save by the Japanese keeper earlier, has just about kept them in with a shout.

Got to say, for all the joking about female keepers, the 2 in this game have had fantastic tournaments so far.

I think someone on here used the China goalkeeper's performance against England as evidence the goalkeeping hasn't improved in line with the standard of the outfield positions, but that's just nonsense. It was just one goalie having a howler of a day. Think I read that more goalies have won more POTM awards in this tournament than at any other to date. And I know a few people on here don't like her but Earps has been vital for England so far too

Same old issue of refs watching replays in slow motion. Of course it looks bad when it's travelling super-slo! They need to always make sure they watch at least one replay at the actual speed to understand the response time - and there was barely any chance for her to move.

They just haven’t been able to overcome Sweden’s strength and pace yet, with counters being undone by Swedish players ability to track back at speed and cover.

But Japan are starting to gain a foothold here.

I think that is an incredibly soft penalty.

Unfortunate for the Swedish sub, as I think that was her first involvement after coming on.

That is just scandalous. Complete and utter dive! Justice is served, yer diving bastard! Fuckin' 'ell she's getting a retake. Oh, she isn't. Worst fuckin' decision a ref and VAR could come up with. You had a clear view that when she went down there was clear daylight between her and any Swedish player. That is just another example where the whistling wankers on the pitch and in the VAR shed can manipulate a result.

Hope our Yui doens't come back with any of that shite this season.
