FIFA Women's World Cup 2023

It's a different game. And that's what makes it good. Someday people will realise that and stop saying it is the same as men's.

Women's and men's tennis Co exist and I don't see why this doesn't. They're different.
And should probably actually have different sized goal and ball to the men’s game, as well, because it is so different (specifically because the physical differences). Some very smart people argue the women’s game is being hampered by trying to mirror the men’s game.

But, beyond that, as I have said many times, the women’s game is decades behind the men’s game in terms of investment, which has a profound impact on overall quality and individual player development, because men literally made it that way.

Making the argument that the women’s game will never be as qualitatively “good” (subjective determination) as the men’s game is similar to those jingoistic talking heads that claimed England would always be the best football nation because we invented the sport.

Unlucky England did well to get to the final and they’ve done extremely well the last couple of years winning the euro’s don’t forget..Anyhow time to switch over now for proper football shortly. ;-)

Very disappointed.

Too many of the ladies who are usually absolutely unbelievable were miles off it today.

Walsh clearly miles off match fitness, Stanway anonymous, Toone anonymous, Russo anonymous and Bronze had her worst game for years.

Very difficult to explain so many of them being off it at once in such a huge game.

Still incredibly proud of them and this should make them come back even better.

I really fancy Spain's number 19. Number 18 is tidy too.

I know we're not suppose to talk about that part but the game is over now.
