FIFA Women's World Cup 2023

England winning the women's World Cup would mean absolutely nothing to me. It's not a sport I follow at all. I'd take City winning anything over it.

Anyway, the better team won, so all is good.
Cheers for the reply. I’m honestly not looking to perpetuate an exchange with you about this, as I can find zero common ground with you, but just as a statement of fact, it is the same sport. Football.

England just not used to playing without the ball. Spain made them pay just by being better. Don't think there was anything wrong with the setup of the England team with the players we had available and the ones on the pitch deserved to be there after the performance in the semi. Thought Wiegman got the subs wrong though, not with who came on but who went off. Taking your 2 best goal-scorers off and playing a winger in the striker position is not the best option when you need to score. Did Toone even touch the ball in the 2nd half? How she stayed on the pitch for as long as she did was baffling.

The referee definitely bottled it by not giving Paralluelo a 2nd yellow for kicking the ball away. Seemed to be reaching for a card then realised she was already booked so changed her mind. The way England were playing though it probably didn't make a difference to the outcome.

As said, Spain deserved winners.
