FIFA Women's World Cup 2023

Hey, I started this thread so I'm gonna keep it goin' for another fortnight, whether another goal is scored or not!
Oh don’t worry I’ll keep checking in and posting @Dave Ewing's Back 'eader

I’m in some sort of pool thing with my Canadian Granddaughter’s Uni for charity and I put NZ to come second in their group! So I have a vested interest in the matches. When they get to the next stage I have to choose again but I’m going down the pecking order! :-)

Both South Korea and NZ could play continuously until the next world cup and neither of them would score a goal.

I don't get how a WC schedule can have group A finishing this morning and group H starting only their 2nd matches afterwards.

Doesn't make any sense. Someone's gonna end up having either too long between games or no recovery time, surely.

Another fragmented half. Popp should have buried that chance. The problem that Germany seem to have is common to most women's football matches is that the team that is generally 'inferior' have to make sure the opponent receiving the ball has neither time nor space to move the ball forward. Very few women have the skill to turn à la David Silva on a two peseta piece let alone fly away with the ball.

A good number of these games would have been improved had both teams gone and sat on the bench and we could have watched the groundsmen hoeing the turf.
