This is the first game I have watched in this tournament and I'm very sorry if I upset some people but it's shite. Women's football will never be anywhere near as good as the men's.

That long review on VAR for the penalty, coupled with VAR not going back to have the penalty retaken for Earps being well off her line, definitely smells like them trying to avoid killing off the game.

Stage management via VAR is getting far too obvious, both in this and the men’s WC, and in the PL.

Yeah but you just really have to take it for what it is. I mean we've seen top women's national teams get beaten by under 15s boys teams.

It's not something you can really watch and compare it to top level men's football but if you just watch it for what it is it's fairly entertaining. A bit like a decent Sunday league game

That's it in a nutshell, it's better than watching no football.

Probably got something to do with it being illegal for women to play organised football between 1921 and 1971. Just a hunch, though.

The whole point is missed. It doesn't have to be as good as men's. They will never play a men's team! It's women v women. They only have to be as good or better than the opposition they are playing. Those who watch men's football will probably want the last word in control, pace, power, and spectacle. Women's football is not for you!
