FIFA World Cup Corruption Fiasco

BBC reporting that FIFA will clear Russia & Qatar of corruption. But the FA could be in the shit over its relationship with Jack Warner. You couldn't make this up.

They should enjoy it while it lasts, they've got the EU and the FBI gunning for them, probably soon Interpol as well and if that happens they'll find being an international organisation doesn't keep you out of everyone's jurisdiction.

So a FIFA investigation into FIFA to see whether FIFA were guilty of an impropriety when FIFA awarded the FIFA World Cup to Qatar found that FIFA do nothing wrong.

What's everybody's problem with that?

Shouldn't FIFA have been investigated by UEFA and visa versa?

Or perhaps not!

Ever since Qatar have been awarded the world cup the European media especially the English media have been at it trying there level best to defame Qatar or coming up with silly excuses that somehow Qatar could be stripped of it,and I don't know why people say it should be specifically held in established football nation, football is the most widely played and watched game of the world ,so if a country is capable of it than they should, and if they do get the chance it would be one of the best I think, because Arabs know how to spend and establish top notch facilities,UAE was nothing more than a barren desert with oil and look where it is now
It certainly won't be anywhere near one of the best. In fact, I fear these two World Cups may spell the beginning of the end for this fine competition.

Re: No World Cup for Qatar? - Der Spiegel

The number of reasons not to give a world cup to Qatar far outweigh the reasons to give it to them. Qatar is a country with no footballing heritage whatsoever, with a population which is extremely small when compared to other host nations, it's located in an environment that is hostile and entirely unconducive to active, outdoor sports, and it neccessitates the upheaval of virtually every national football calendar to incorporate the tournament into a different calendar window. However it's a stunningly wealthy country, which seemingly is all that matters to FIFA.

The fact that FIFA's "independent" investigation into the Qatar 2022 World Cup bid has found there to be no corruption is the least surprising revelation i've heard for a long, long time. It was always going to be the outcome as this was simply a rubber stamping exercise. The fact FIFA have the audacity to criticise England's World Cup bid, for courting Jack Warner's vote, is laughable and clearly aimed at trying to discredit the only FA with the balls to stand up and tell the World what everyone else knows, FIFA are corrupt from top to bottom.

Just like the Russians hiring computers and laptops for their bid and then giving them back at the end. Obviously, when you give a hired computer/ laptop back it gets destroyed or lost doesn't it...that's obvious. Isn't it? Nothing they could have done to help the investigation there.
