FIFA World Cup Corruption Fiasco

I like David Bernstein and thought he was a tremendous chairman of our great club but ... the next World Cup
has been awarded to a UEFA country. No way will UEFA withdraw ahead of Russia 2018. After it quite possibly
but before it no. It wouldn't make sense.

Well this the cas normally in 2022 it should be Asia turn then 2026 Africa

People acting like the biding process was always perfect No i remember the same Jack warner and Blatter who made Morocco they were going to get it then it turned to be South Africa, the same goes with many international events ...

for 2022 it was between Qatar, Japan , USA and Australia; JP and US already hosted it, Australia got the Olympic games so only Qatar was left and i knew they were going to get it if you think Qatar is not a wise choice then no other country in Asia bided to get.

what it a dodgy for me is the fact they are not already sure about the date summer or winter ... those things should be approved before awarding the hosting of WC
The bidding nations were asked to bid for a summer tournament. And "summer" in FIFA terms is European summer.

There is also the small matter of Qatar being linked strongly with funding international terrorism. I wonder who will be organising security for the tournament!

and a small matter of a virtual slave trade being used to build the stadium. The death rate is horrendous, wages abysmal and any dissent quickly dealt with.

I think the only way to shake up FIFA is by going after the World Cup sponsors,Claiming that they are quite happy to deal with the corruption and bribery .The PR Depts of all major companies like to present themselves with being squeaky clean. But to constantly to be told that they are hand in glove with crooks.might start the ball rolling. So launch an attack on the Oil,Car,Camera,TV,Addidas,Nike, companies for doing deals with a corrupt organisation.Just an idea.

I agree with Bernstein. England should boycott the World Cup. Good call. I'm sure everyone in Scotland would back him 100% in this!

We really should be strongly considering it, and discussing with other FAs if they want to make a united stand. There has been rumblings in Germany, imagine if the current holders wanted to boycott!

One point made on 5Live today was about sponsors like Adidas to make some noise or even pull out. A French journalist mentioned Emirates Airline are to end their sponsorship. They are to be replaced by............................

QATAR AIRLINES!!!!!!!!

There is usually someone with enough cash, ambition or lack of sense to fill this kind of gap. One of tbe previous posters was correct - and like Bernstein this doesn't just need a unilateral boycott, it nedds enough people to do the same - sponsors and customers alike and actively turn anyone associated with FIFA into a pariah.

FIFA has has lodged a criminal complaint with the Swiss attorney general over "possible misconduct of individual persons".

Let me guess - could these individuals be English.

I'm willing to wager these individuals will all be former members of FIFA, probably including people like Bin Hamman or whatever he was called, who dared to run against big Sepp. Probably anyone who cooperated too vigourously with the investigation as well, FIFA doesn't fuck about.
