Fighter Jet Over South Manchester

Has an engine actually sheared off/fell off during take off, flight or landing?
By that I mean literally fell off, not through a bad landing or such, just fell off the mountings....

Presumably, just in case the worst happened and a wreath had to be laid.

So that's why Mangala's plane has turned round then.

I thought the noisy little bastard was coming through my bedroom window.

I watched the Qatar airbus til it went below the rooftops but I could see the Typhoon circling the airport a few times til it got off towards Wythy.

Bit scary but good to see our lads doing there jobs and I got a free airshow from a plane ive never seen before :)

No one with knowledge of security procedures and even a modicum of sense is going to tell you what they are in an open forum.
