I had got excited a few years ago when we bought Enes Unal, Douglas Luiz and Marlos Moreno, among others. I realise they may not have been up to standard but Unal is a Turkish international now and Luiz is playing regularly for Villa along with playing for the Brazilian team.

I recall watching Rashford score 2 for United on his debut against Arsenal in a Wembley pub prior to a Carabao cup final. He took his chance and hasn't looked back since.
Pep is a stubborn man but surely somebody in the club sees the need to bring through young players.

Or if they get a chance, aren't up to it & Puyol is their agent, keep playing them for 2 years ahead of the others.

We had to do that due to our low Nike deal which was £12m. Puma deal gave the club £54m increase yearly. We no longer need to do this.

But clubs are greedy and City are no different. this strategy will now give even more cash.

How I wish we would sign players with the idea to improve our first team squad and players who can make an impact for MANCHESTER CITY FC, not one of a number or irrelevant clubs to us in the CFG Umbrella, where they get pointless loan, followed by pointless loan and then sold for a small sum, and some idiot says "Well thats got the academy a small profit".

I don’t know what you are talking about. He is not good enough to play for us yet, if he ever becomes good enough then he plays for the team. Don’t know what you are complaining about or who are the young players you want us to sign

Not bothered about the age of those we sign, but I want us to sign players who ARE good enough to play for us, when you consider players like Mahrez, Gundogan, Mendy etc ARE good enough, then there are literally 1000s around Europe who are good enough to do so, what I want is us to buy THEM instead of wasting our time on someone who is never going to play for the club, what a pointless signing that would be, getting players who are never going to play, don't see many clubs around the world adopting that stupid policy

We bought mahrez, gundo, mendy with expectations they would be good enough, they have been just okay or mendy’s extremely bad fortune. You unfortunately have to move them on before you buy new players because you don’t want unhappy faces in the camp and basically wasting money on wages. We can sign 1000 different players but players can also flop.As for the cfg signing it is basically the same thing as if it was girona that was signing them but we are using manchester city to register them so if they become good they just come here. So just take it as a girona signing that would come to city if good enough

Indeed they do.

But out of the number of players signed for the City group of clubs, you would expect that by now, at least one of them would have made it to our bench.

It's quite an achievement to have scouted so many players from all around the world, non of whom are any good.

Zinchenko and Steffen? both in the squad just a couple days ago. Not saying they are fantastic but got good value out of Zinchenko and Steffen seems a solid no2.
