I can see where you're coming from. It's from a very over the top era. Carlitos way is possibly better for me. A lot of movies once revisited can be quite a let down, maybe scarface would be the same for me.

The godfather trilogy, on the other hand, will never get old.

Di Nero in the second is a fantastic young Vito, even Garcia as sonny was quite good!

I'm not a huge fan of the genre and I found them very slow. Non of the characters were likeable and I found myself not giving a shit what happened to anyone. They bored me.

I'm with you on hooligan and horror films, I won't even attempt to watch them, they just aren't my cup of tea. I do like a bit of sci-fi though and loved the original Star Wars films. The new ones aren't worth a wank and I didn't even bother watching the last one.

I liked Terminator and T2 but the rest were shite.

I know hooligan films are just crass, and horror movies are just so commercialised, they stop being scary. I loved he first two terminstors until I watched them back recently, couldn't get into them. Predator 2 and beyond are utter crap as well.

As for star wars, again I wasn't that bothered about even the originals. But you're right he new ones are terrible. Is there a more wooden actor than the guy who plays Anakin?

That said, I did enjoy Prometheus, and the thin red line, and I know lots of people hated them, so perhaps its me
