It is a cult film with its own fans. I wouldnt describe it as either acclaimed or over-hyped. Its just a small indy film with a small set of fans. Cant see how it fits the criteria really. For me Avatar is the type of film that fits it

Got to say on Ritchie, made one film that was fresh and original at the time and then copied it badly from then on until he decided to ruin well loved charactors in king arthur and Sherlock holmes.

As for Statham, I don't mind some stuff, but you know when you get a statham film you are essentially getting the same charactor with a new name and circumstance

I’ve just watched The Meg. Helps if you’ve been drinking but it was a laugh.

I don’t know if Donny Darko has been mentioned but it’s awful.

He's responsible for a lot of crap. But, to be fair to him, The Gentlemen is excellent. Farrell is fantastic in it. I'll never look at a farmyard pig in the same way again!
