I don't believe the ordinary fan gives a flying fuck about these figures. If it ever comes to it, and it won't, City will destroy this in the European court of justice.

Unfortunately the average fan does, mainly because of the whinging from original top 4 and the media bias.
You only have to read the opposition view on BM, never a week goes by without mention of the money.

STOP PRESS.
I have just seen the figures and we are in shit creek. Basically we have made a profit and Platini has ordered us to redo the sums until we can come up with a figure that allows $ky, that dick that's says he is a FFP wizard and papers to say for the next twelve months that we will be banned from the Champs League.

Can`t wait to see if that daft twat comes back if we don`t hit his figures of minus £75M was it ???
who? ed(case)? doubt it. hope so.

Re: Financial figures appear to be somewhat late.

Is there a last date for having to release the figures? Hopefully we'll see them before the next home/away kit threads start up again.

I think we don't have to release them at all

As waspish says, I don't believe City are under any obligation to actually publish their financial results in the public domain at all. In February of every year, though, Deloitte release their Football Money League, which includes a decent 1-2 pages per team of analysis of the figures for each of the top 20 clubs, and that will definitely announce what our turnover and profit figures were.

if we don't publish anything Deloitte's figure will just be a well-informed estimate, but going by the owner's business beliefs we will publish something, transparency and so forth. I was kind of hoping they'd come out while I was still on leave so I could have a good browse.

City have a legal obligation to publish their financial results.

MCFC are a limited company, registered in England, and therefore have to file accounts with Companies House. Those accounts can be accessed by anyone (for a small fee). The deadline for filing the accounts has not yet passed (it's nine months after the accounting year-end).

I was under the impression that Deloitte are actually given full access to company financial data. After all, they are a company that specialise in that sort of thing.

True, but what I meant is that they're under no obligation to announce that the figures have been released, nor to put them on the website as they have done in the past. They are able to sneak them out the back door and rely on them not being widely reported, in other words.

They get the data from public sources as far as I'm aware.

Well if that's true then fair enough. At any rate, their figures seem to be fairly reliable, though.
