As much as I feel the justgiving online campaign has raised valuable funding for this Dogs home, what really pisses me off (even more than the actual Arson attack) is all the celebrity c**ts jumping on this bandwagon.

People such as the tv ratings whore Simon Cowell - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/holiday-simon-cowell-dogs-home-7766772" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... me-7766772</a>

Who is pledging what's probably pocket change to him to this Dogs home and whoever else is associated with this incident.

Great, dog resources such as food and money has been raised - but then some c**t like this:

[bigimg]http://i2.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/incoming/article7766788.ece/alternates/s615/CP10142761.jpg[/bigimg]

With the Actor Dog cast, the perfect white smile, making him out to be this glorious dog owner, comes out and fronts this whole disaster just makes me feel sick.

This guy as an example is probably one of the most busiest celebrities on the circuit, regularly flying all over the world, promoting music artists and doing tv shows etc etc.... You're telling me he has time to walk his dog several times aday like they should be?

if he does own a dog, this c**t probably pays more per year in having somebody walk his dog for him than he has actually donated to the dogs home.

I really don't think that multi-millionaire, on our tv screens almost every weekend Simon Cowell needs the 'help' of this bandwagon and, if he's only done it to make himself feel better - so what? The fund has benefited from a good few quid no doubt - he's happy, the fund raisers are happy, people who are watching the fund rise are happy - only you that isn't ;-)

Maybe his 'pocket change' donation and the subsequent exposure will encourage a few more people to donate?

What would you have said if he'd been asked for a donation and said no?

Bit harsh on the tosser I reckon ;-)

+1

Well said.

Just back from hols and heard about this ..... I gleefully pour petrol over the little twunt that did this, and throw the match on him myself ....

You and half of Manchester I think, that's why the Police have put him and his family somewhere safe and away from a certain beating to death!!

Not sure what they're going to do with him - can't see this just dying down after a week or two, this lad is a marked man for a long, long time I fear.

Like him or not i don't think Cowell has hid the fact he likes animals.I remember reading a while back that he would leave his dosh to kids and dog charities. And the fact he tweeted about what happened can only be a good thing as it will reach a wider audience who may also donate. It's a two way thing he get's exposure and the charity get's more money.

Are you for fuckin' real!!

Explain?

There's always some dick-cheese whose sole aim is to offend.

And you've just won the prize.

He had a similar attitude to the severed cats head found on the curry mile.

Something must have happened to him as a child - had a leg sexually abused by a Rottweiler or bullied by a tabby who stole his milk at breaktime?

Or still not got over being blindfolded while he "milked a cow" on Jim'll Fix It.

Jim, this milk tastes salty..............

No, it's just that I don't prescribe to the double standard. Everyone's so upset about unpleasant things happening to dogs on account of them being pets, but that isn't an adequate explanation. It just isn't good enough. A cow and a dog want to live just as much as each other, yet one is somehow deserving and the other isn't. How they came into being is immaterial. The argument that cows are bred for food and dogs are domesticated, is just too simplistic to be a valid argument. It implies that some are more deserving on the basis of the general human perception of them.

And the bit of land we happen to be on shouldn't matter. If this had happened in a country where dogs are bred to be eaten, should we not care, since that's just the way dogs are perceived in that culture? The culture / country argument just does not hold water.

I would be a massive hypocrite if I got upset about this, and didn't get upset about dogs in certain other countries or cows or guinea pigs etc etc suffering at the hands of humans (on a way, way, greater scale) regardless of the reasons for their suffering.

Dogs are more intelligent and make for great companions for humans, that's why people will always favour them over other animals.

I understand the point you're making though.
