First away game.

Derby, 1977. We were chasing the title that season, and ended up getting battered 4-0. Anyone remember big Joe stepping out the yards for the penalty spot which had disappeared in a sea of sand? The ref had spotted the ball, but Joe reckoned it was too close to the goal ( he was right as well, IIRC). And he got booked for it too.

Excluding the swamp, Leeds away FA Cup January 1978, this one...

... so glad it was televised, it was a real classic.

Me and my brother were sat behind the goal, so relieved when the police horses thwarted the anticipated charge.

Burnley 1961-62. Bert Trautmann was injured and and a young Harry Dowd stood in. City scored first but got walloped by a very good Burnley side. We lost 6-3 but true to form my dad decided we should leave when it was 5-2 "to beat the traffic".

Stoke City - 1981 - The Victoria Ground - Trevor Francis's debut
I was 11 years old and went on the coach with my older brother who was 13. Great day - sun was shining, We won 1:3 (I think) and Francis scored 2.
I was only small and at the front of the standing crowd behind the goal being crushed against the fences that were installed back then - a steward saw what was happening and opened a gate and let me and another lad sit on the camber of the pitch next to the photographers to watch the match and said "now you won't run on the pitch will you ?"
Wouldn't happen these days I'm afraid.
(I also won the card on the coach - Pocket's full of 50p's ) - a day to remember

1962 at the Swamp, we won 3-2 with Alex Harley getting the winner in the last minute. Not been back there since!

Mine was a midweek derby at the swamp in about 78. The game had been postponed due to poor weather earlier in the season. I think we went 2-0 up but it finished 2-2

Don’t remember much about it apart from the Stretford end singing to Gary Owen “Owen is a wanker” and he bowed to them

Then after the game there were hundreds of the scum outside the city end being held back by the police so there was like a tunnel for the city fans to walk through and they were all singing “City.. show us your scarves”

Bit intimidating for a 10 year old

Forest away, would have been 93/94 sometime.
I remember almost nothing about the game but recall having a great weekend in Nottingham.
IIRC the dogging wife beater was playing gor them and the rumours of an imminent transfer were rife.
