21st June is Manchester Day, and also the Summer Solstice.

Good point but unfortunately the outdoor pubs which are open early will only serve the tarquins in Cheshire and be absolutely rammed. Apart from Dukes, Sinclair's and Oast House, I can't think of many Manchester joints with large outdoor areas.

For the majority in Manchester 21st June will be the first time they go out.

I hope it happens but I've a feeling Boris has played a blinder. He knows as the weather improved people would have broken the rules anyway. He's set out this timetable and put in brackets ( Depending on the way it/the virus all pans out.) Give it a couple of months, say things are going tits up and tighten the restriction again. He can then say he's done all he can so deflecting any blame on himself. I pray I'm wrong.

Got a friend who is due early/vol redundancy at the end of March. I know that falls into beer gardens rather than Freedom day.
